Objective
To promote professional practices in journalism in Hong Kong through recognizing the contributions of distinguished journalists.
Eligibility
Eligible nominees should be serving or former journalists who are at or below the age of 45, and have worked in any Hong Kong-based news media organization for a minimum of 3 years.
Judging Criteria
The enhancement of professional standards in journalism, including:
Key Criterion
1. Distinguished reports, writing, interviews, commentaries, editorials and programs.
Other Criteria
1. Promotion of freedom of information or professional standards of journalism, enhancement of ethical standards and self-improvement of working journalists.
2. Setting up good institutional practices, such as those related to professional ethics, conflicts of interests, and declaration of interests.
