本院博士研究生王嘯的論文《You process content and I process context: Cross-platform divergence of retweetability between Twitter and Weibo》, 榮獲2016年台灣資訊社會研究學會年會暨研討會（TAIS）最佳論文獎第一名。
本院博士研究生蘇超獲香港特別行政區政府獎學基金「外展體驗獎」資助參加海外交流計劃，在荷蘭的阿姆斯特丹大學作為期四個月的海外交流。
本院博士研究生蔡曉瑩獲香港特別行政區政府獎學基金 ─「外展體驗獎」資助出席2017年度「國際傳播學會年會」(ICA)發表論文《In Search of (In)visible Life and Space: a Sociocultural Perspective of Using Smartphone Application Butterfly》(Communication and Technology Division)。
