Abstract:
What makes a trip meaningful? How can we experience cultures and bridge differences in a journey? In this talk, Chris Leung, writer and host of the local TV travel show “Backpack Series,” will share his experiences of traveling across the globe and working in intercultural settings. He will also provide industrial insights into the travel show sector.

Bio:
Chris Leung received his bachelor’s degree in ecology and evolutionary biology from Princeton University. His involvement in the “Best Jobs in the World” campaign organized by Tourism Australia in 2013 first brought his name to Hong Kong’s households. Since then, he has been active in producing travel programs, particularly known for his “Backpack Series,” covering Central America (2016), Central Asia (2017), Morocco (2018), and South America (2019). He is also interested in raising public awareness of eco-tourism and preservation, working with GLO and WWF.
