My Recent 5 Happy News and Recognitions at Work

By Sally Maier-Yip, (JLM Graduate in 2004)

1.     I was most humbled to be a finalist of the Asian Women of Achievement Awards 2021 – Entrepreneur Category in the UK. It was a hugely empowering moment for me that helped me to come up with my life mission: to be a positive influence on people around me.

2.     I was delighted that my London-based China-focused luxury and propert PR agency, 11K Consulting, was shortlisted for the Media Relations category IPRA International Public Relations Association’s Golden World Awards in 2021 – a testimonial of our high-quality client work.

3.     I was most humbled to be recognised as one of the leading “Creatives, Leaders and Thinkers” worldwide by The Global Interview. In this exclusive interview, I talked about my role as the Founder and MD of 11K Consulting, favourite social media platform, best advice received, my motivation, definition of success and more. You can read the article here: https://theglobalinterview.com/interviews-season-35/2022/1/10/sally-maier-yip-founder-and-managing-director-11k-consulting-ltd

4.     Since Covid-19 started in 2020, I set myself a challenge to post one meaningful content on LinkedIn everyday, as a way of connecting with old and new friends and building my community online. Fast forward, I am glad to be now recognised as a positive LinkedIn Influencer by my networks, with over 8000 connections to date, attracting 1.5million total views on my posts in 2021. 5.     I was very happy that my company, 11K Consulting, has recently been granted a sponsorship licence from the UK’s Home Office, meaning that we are now able to sponsor talented foreign workers (e.g. from China and HK) who need work visas in order to work in the UK. This is a natural progression to 11K Consulting, as we continue to grow our client base and team in the UK. If you need career advice in the UK, feel free to get in touch with me. Happy to help where possible.
